Reader Service
NLB provides readers services. It has three reading rooms (one for Bengali Materials, one for English Materials and one for Newspapers) covering 8000 sft. space area. The Library maintains both card and sheaf catalogue systems
Bibliographic Service
National Library provides Bibliography service on request to the potential research scholars of various universities/institutions.
Number of Bangladesh National Bibliography (BNB) published is 18 issues. The Latest Issue of BNB of 2008 is published in June 2009.
Photocopy Service
Members of the Library can have photocopy service for research purpose at the charge of Tk.2.00 per impression and News Paper Tk. 5.00 per copy.
ISBN Service
For familiarizing Bangladesh's books internationally, ISBN distribution service is provided to the concerned publishers and individual authors from the National Library.
The National Library of Bangladesh served on ISBN to the various Authors and Publishers.
From 1991 to 2009 NLB served ISBN
(i) Authors - 10083 nos.
(ii) Publishers - 1321 nos.
Microfilm Service
Microfilm reading services on some selected subjects areas are given to the concerned research scholars in the light of the requirement.
Map Information Service
One of the important services to the users is map reading services, which is given under special arrangement.
Internet Service
NLB has provides by Automation Service and given centrally Information services to the any kind of user/clients.
Atomation & Information Service
NLB has provides automation and centrally information to the user.
Lending Service
Lending of books to the library members is yet to be introduced. However, government offices, libraries, institutions as exception can evail the borring facilities for official's purpose.
